The Brown-Smith Agency Adds Motor City Pride to Its Client List

Landover, MD – The Brown-Smith Agency, full-service digital communication, and public relations agency, recently added Detroit’s Motor City Pride to its client list. The contract supports Motor City Pride’s communications efforts to raise awareness and increase attendance for this year’s pride parade and festival on Sept. 18 and 19.

Motor City Pride is Michigan’s largest pride celebration with over 40,000 participants who attend pride year-over-year. It is a volunteer-driven event celebrating the lives of Michigan LGBT citizens and continuing the fight for equality.

“Detroit is my first home, and I have much love for the city and its progress,” said Dre Brown, president of The Brown-Smith Agency. “It’s an honor to have the opportunity to work with this group of dedicated individuals and raise awareness about pride and see the final results as people come together to celebrate such an amazing movement.”

In 2015, before the establishment of The Brown-Smith Agency, Dre helped promote the Motor City Pride parade and festival right out of undergraduate. “Having the opportunity to work on such an amazing project usually comes once in a lifetime,” said Dre. “However, after establishing my agency, I feel things have come full circle and it’s more meaningful this time around - I get to work with someone I respect and be an ambassador for a movement that’s near and dear to me.”
